TELL HYATT HOTELS TO STOP HOSTING HATE

Hyatt Hotels, a multinational corporation which claims to champion diversity and inclusion, is distorting civil rights law to host the annual conference for the largest anti-Muslim hate group in the country, ACT for America, on September 4 - 5 at the Hyatt Regency in Crystal City. ACT for America has led “marches against Sharia” during Ramadan, falsely claimed that Islam is a “political ideology masquerading as a religion,” and that “no practicing Muslim can be a loyal American.”

To make matters worse, while other major hospitality companies including Hilton, Airbnb, Sofitel, and the Willard Hotel refused to host hate groups and disassociated their organizations with bigots, Hyatt is welcoming ACT with open arms, and actively associating itself with dangerous anti-Muslim ideology.

But we have the power to stop this. If we raise our voices, we can tell Hyatt loud and clear that we won’t stand for hate — not in our homes, not in our hotels, and not in our nation.

Hyatt has “justified” hosting the conference by claiming it does not unlawfully discriminate against groups who wish to hold lawful meetings at the hotel.” But Hyatt is misrepresenting the law — there are no laws in Virginia or at the federal level that require a hotel to host a hate group like ACT for America.
